A holiday in the peace of the wilderness

Eki's cottages stand on the shore of the lake Naamajärvi in Kuumu village in the province of Kainuu. To get there you drive 74 km northwards from the centre of Kuhmo almost to the border of Kuhmo's neighbouring municipality Suomussalmi. Near the cottages (1 -1,5 km) lies the Riihelä farm where you can ride a pony, walk the farm's dog and have a chat with the members of the household. Not far from the cottages there is also the recreational fishing area Ruunalampi, where you can stay overnight at a lean-to, if you so wish.
The natural waterways, peat bogs and wilderness forests of this region invite you to try:

1. Eteläranta (Southern shore, built in 1992)
